Prayer Request Update - Thursday, Feb. 18

Joyce Vance, the friend of the Turners, passed away a couple of weeks ago while waiting for lung transplant.

Wayne Rhea appreciates all the calls and pats of love he has received. Wayne is taking meds to prevent the irregular heartbeat and prevent fluid buildup. His heart is only working at 25 percent capacity, so he is taking it careful while they work on getting things under control. He has lost 19 pounds, 12 of that was the fluid around his heart, but he has resumed his activities and involvement with his grandchildren. The diagnosis is congestive heart failure with a very erratic heartbeat.

Howard Cunningham is doing well with the pain diminishing and swelling going down. His healing process is going to take a long time, but Vicki hopes he will be more mobile in a few weeks and that will help. He is going to hyperbaric treatment five days a week--that is a 100% oxygen chamber that promotes healing, and he is in it for two and one-half hours each day. They can see a difference already in the wounds that are healing. Vicki reports that Howard enjoys "short" phone calls on the house phone, 743-7730.
