ANNOUNCEMENTS
Boston 2010 Mission Trip - Depart Saturday, September 18th and return Thursday, September 23rd.
Brief training when you arrive on Saturday.
Sunday attend worship with missionary and possibly with another church plant in the city. Servant outreach at subway stops, distribute free granola bars and bottles of water with a card from the church (we would do this several times and in several locations) - prayer walking in our neighborhood as well as with a newer church plant or two - possibly serve with our weekly ministry to the homeless - one night we could prepare a meal; the next night we serve it on the street.
Travel: we are checking on rates for airfare. Church will pay 75% of your airfare for first mission trip and 60% airfare for each subsequent mission trip. All other costs of the trip, meals, lodging, transportation, etc. are responsibility of each participant.
Lodging: we have an option to stay at the church on air mattresses. Church has showers. We can also stay at nearby hotels (within walking distance). We are checking to see what group rate may be available.
While in Boston we will probably use the subway to get around. Planned activities will involve walking, so you will need to bring comfortable shoes. We will do some prayer walking training before leaving Tulsa.
