Dennis Turner - Praise report -- Thanks to all of you for all your prayers...they worked. I have no long term problems. God is a great God and I am one lucky man with a beautiful chauffeur. Next hurdle is to let me get back on my Harley!

Sunnie Hall - pray for Sunnie's cousin, Vera Davis and her husband, Rick. Rick has Alzheimer's and Vera is struggling with the pressure of his care. Please keep them and Sunnie's 90-year old Aunt Marie Crew in your prayers for peace.
Frank & Lisa Fitzgerald - Dr & Mrs. Dean Fitzgerald, retired missionaries from the Middle East, buried their son, Dr. Steve Fitzgerald, August 17. Dr. Fitzgerald left a wife and three children. The youngest two children helped the pallbearers carry their dad to his grave. Their ages are 13-11 and 7.
Gene Tyree - complete success from arthroscopic knee surgery. Please pray for quick and successful healing.
David Wycoff - his friend, who lives in Baton Rouge, has a daughter, Linda Ditta, 42-years old, that has breast cancer. Please remember Linda in your prayers.Larry Merideth - continue to remember the Merideth family with the loss of Cindy.

Ron Dougless - Ron's mother, Betty Dougless, was diagnosed with cancer surrounding the thyroid gland on the left side of her neck. She will be starting treatment soon. Please keep Betty Dougless in your prayers.

Winnie Fuller - Winnie's friend, Chris Dilldine, passed away.

Sue Tyree - continue to pray for strength and healing.

Jim Davis - continue to pray for successful rehab.

Sue Kimberling - continue to pray for her depression to be gone.

Continue to pray for all the men and women serving in the armed forces and law enforcement. Our nation.


ANNOUNCEMENTS

Owasso Baptist Homes for Children -

1) Boys Cottage Work Day - Saturday, August 29th, 9:00 am - Make plans to come out and help with the second work day at the White City Cottage.

2) Sunday, August 30th, after the 11:00 am Worship Service - We will be celebrating two of the boys birthday--Chris will turn 12 on the 26th and Jason will turn 8 on the 27th. Our plans are to take them out for pizza and will try to find a location close to FBC. We would like to invite anyone who would like to join us to come. All we ask is that you pay for your lunch. We will take care of the boys, plus the gifts with funds given in the past. Birthday cards are always welcome. Details next Sunday in class and the boys will be visiting our class.

3) Help with School Work Needed - The boys need help with their school work. If you can help out, contact Janice Turner at 943-6686 or 510-3750. Help is especially needed on Mondays, but they welcome help anytime. The boys study hour is from 4:00 - 5:00 pm.

PRESCHOOL WORKERS NEEDED - There are 39 openings for three different time slots in the Preschool area for volunteers to come and serve. Contact Paul Teel to sign up.

Downtown YMCA - Saturday, August 29th, 8:45 - 11:00 AM - The residents of the downtown Tulsa YMCA have to relocate. If you would like to help move some of the residents, contact Steve Childers.

BOWLING LEAGUE - Are you interested in being a part of a bowling league? If so, please contact Susan Harless at chiefx11@yahoo.com or call Susan at 853-4835.

THE SPRINGS! FBC will launch the new satellite church September 13. Volunteer to go door-to-door September 1-12, 6:30 pm, handing out information inviting neighbors.

BUNCO BASH! Thursday September 17, 6:30, Fellowship Hall - Fundraising event benefits MEND (Mommies Enduring Neonatal Death). It is a ministry that started in Dallas and has grown across the country with different chapters. MEND Tulsa opened it's doors in April 2008. MEND's goal is to help families who have recently lost a child due to miscarriage, stillbirth or early infant death. Cost $10 donation. Nell Hill's Trip - September 21-22 - Beth Teel coordinating this year's trip to Nell Hill's -- Our group has received a "preferred client" invitation to tour Mary Carol Garrity's (owner of Nell Hill's) home and shop without the crowds from the "general public" -- what a special treat. Make plans to attend by contacting Beth Teel at 744-1581.

CHRISTMAS PARTY - Friday, December 11 6:30 pm - $20 per person - Purchase your tickets early to help us pay for our deposit to the caterer for our Class dinner party. See Lea Weaver or Beverly Allen to purchase your tickets.
