Marianne Rhea – Surgery went well and recovering at home. Continue to pray for successful and full recovery.
Sharon DeVries – “thank you for your prayers on my Sept. 10th foot surgery. Please pray for me as I have the second foot surgery (other foot) on Thursday, Oct. 29th. Successful correction and speedy recovery. Thank you.”
The Springs! - remember to pray for the work being done at the new Sand Springs location.
Ron Dougless - Ron's mother, Betty Dougless, is in St. Johns diagnosed with acute respiratory distress brought on by chemo treatment. Please keep Ron, Carolyn and Betty in your prayers.
Fred Calkins - had knee surgery. Pray for quick recovery and minimal pain.
Howard Cunningham - friend, Ron Caldwell had successful surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and they did not have to remove kidney. Ron and his family appreciate all the prayers and continued prayers.
Susan Patterson – had frozen shoulder surgery last Friday. Prayers for successful recovery and relief from pain.
Continue to pray for all the men and women serving in the armed forces and law enforcement, and our nation.

Jerry Jacobs came and shared with our class three immediate needs in the church:
1) Young Adult Class is looking for "more mature adults" to come and work with the Young Adult Home Builders Class to work as co-directors of the class and to help with teaching--would also be appreciated but not required.
2) Preschool Greeters/Check-in for 8:15 am on Sundays - contact Jerry to volunteer for one month to greet and check in at the Preschool Department.
3) Also need Second Floor Greeters 8:15 - 8:45 am - need is to just greet and direct people to classes.
PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY - Bring jars of pb&j next Sunday to stock the Caring Center pantry!
John 3:16 Thanksgiving Baskets - Bring large cans of sweet potatoes and boxes of stuffing mix to fill the baskets and leave in the collection bins by the Adult Media Library and in the Mirror Room through the month of October.

Help with School Work Needed – The boys need help with their school work. If you can help out, contact Janice Turner at 943-6686 or 510-3750. Help is especially needed on Mondays, but they welcome help anytime. The boys study hour is from 4:00 - 5:00 PM.
WIENER ROAST – A BIG THANK YOU to Kirk and Coleta Larkin for hosting our class party last Saturday night. About 94 attended and had a wonderful evening of fun, fellowship and hot dogs/chili. The Boys from White City Cottage joined the party with fishing prior to the cookout, and we celebrated three of the boys birthdays – Zack, DJ, and Troy – check out the pictures of the event on our class blog – www.adult5fbc.blogspot.com

FALL FUN FESTIVAL - Oct. 31 - 4:00 pm - Sunnie Hall and Bob Ireton are coordinating for our class to support the Fall Festival. Contact Sunnie, Bob or Kirk to volunteer to help out with the NASCAR event from 4:00 to 6:30 pm Saturday, 31st.
CARING CENTER WORK DAY – Nov. 14th – mark your calendar to come join our class Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Caring Center. Times to be announced. Bring toothpaste!
