Fred Calkins - had knee surgery. Pray for quick recovery and minimal pain.
Howard Cunningham - friend, Ron Caldwell, wife & daughter, make trip to Cleveland Clinic for surgery Oct. 23rd, consisting of either removing tumor or kidney. The prayer pager has been activated for Ron - 918-635-8045, then 1234#. Please remember Ron and his wife, Betty, as they are having a difficult time.
Susan Patterson - has frozen shoulder and will be having surgery Oct. 23 and asks for prayer for relief of pain.

SPECIAL GUEST – be in class next Sunday, Oct. 25, to find out who will be our “special guest.”
NEEDED!! - Jerry Jacobs came and shared with our class three immediate needs in the church:
1) Young Adult Class is looking for "more mature adults" to come and work with the Young Adult Home Builders Class to work as co-directors of the class and to help with teaching--would also be appreciated but not required.
2) Preschool Greeters/Check-in for 8:15 am on Sundays - contact Jerry to volunteer for one month to greet and check in at the Preschool Department.
3) Also need Second Floor Greeters 8:15 - 8:45 am - need is to just greet and direct people to classes.
John 3:16 Thanksgiving Baskets - Bring large cans of sweet potatoes and boxes of stuffing mix to fill the baskets and leave in the collection bins by the Adult Media Library and in the Mirror Room through the month of October.

Help with School Work Needed – The boys need help with their school work. If you can help out, contact Janice Turner at 943-6686 or 510-3750. Help is especially needed on Mondays, but they welcome help anytime. The boys study hour is from 4:00 - 5:00 PM.
CHANGE of Date for the Boys Birthday Party - Oct. 24 - mark your calendars for the next birthday celebration for three of the boys at our Class Wiener Roast. Bring birthday cards for the three boys celebrating their birthday this month: Zach, DJ, and Troy.

CHANGE of Time for our ANNUAL WIENER ROAST - Saturday, Oct. 24th - 6:00 pm (formerly was 7:00 pm) at The Larkin's - sign up sheets passed around—call Kirk or Coleta if you can attend. Also, need volunteers to come our early Saturday to help the boys and the fishing before our 6:00 pm start. Let Kirk know if you can help.
CROSSOVER DINNER - Sunday, Oct. 25th, 6:00 pm - our next dinner for the kids in the Crossover Ministry is coming up on the 25th. If you can help with serving dinner, contact Lea Weaver, the dinner event coordinator.
FALL FUN FESTIVAL - Oct. 31 - 4:00 pm - Sunnie Hall is coordinating for our class support of the Fall Festival. Also, the church is collecting candy for the festival. Put your bags of candy in the boxes placed around the church during the month of October. Contact Sunnie or Kirk to volunteer to help.
